2 fashion boys outside the Rick Owens show, Paris.

I first saw them outside Balmain, and everyone from the photographers and bloggers to  rather prolific editors were whining that the kids were trying too hard again this season.

Aren’t the kids, inspired and experimenting in their studios with no commercial limitations, the very people that contribute to making fashion interesting and exciting?

Now I am not saying by wearing a dead bird on your head you are instantly going to morph into the genius of Isabella Blow.  But when did it not become ok to experiment in fashion? Anna dello Russo wears cherries on her head and we all cheer, because it IS fabulous, and she IS amazing!

So basically I love these kids, with their impractical glasses and 9inch platforms, back to the future haircuts and yes, the dead birds on their heads.
