Barbara Martelo | after Valentino | Paris Couture Fall 2011
Basically I have concluded that if you spend enough time in Paris, coolness will rub off on you… it has to as there is just something about how European women are so effortlessly cool. I’m dreaming of this Alaia leather skirt.

I still love those Valentino shoes…

The lovely Meredith Melling Burke, Market Editor of American Vogue, saw this post of the Jess Hart dancing in Paris… remember she was draped on the arm of Derek Blasberg at Valentino… and used the image and my blog for her inspiration for Vogue.com's Social Shopper!
I am off to RAFW (Australian Fashion week) tomorrow, I am so EXCITED! I will be keeping a Photo diary of the week… and doing some very exciting projects when I am down there… I can’t wait to share all with you! now in the meantime, I have to get through the 28hr flight from London to Sydney… Rom-Com marathon… x
Gorgeously draped on the arm of Derek Blasberg leaving the Valentino show, I had to do a double take… The goddess in the reversible Fendi fur coat and the perfectly polished Giuseppe Zanotti shoes was Australian model Jess Hart. I am so used to seeing her in Doc Martin’s and ripped Jeans, it took me a moment to adjust. I bee lined, and somehow convinced her to pry herself from Derek’s arm, and dance in tuileries in front of what became over 30 photographers. She did this all with such a big smile that suddenly there beneath the Valentino and Fendi, I saw the gorgeous Aussie style icon… with the once polished Giuseppe’s that were looking a lot more like her beloved Doc Martins. x
